Overview and Role:
Palladium
was awarded the USAID/Trade Reform and Development in Egypt (TRADE) Activity
contract, which has a 5-year timeframe and a ceiling of $36.3 million. The
Project will be active throughout Egypt.   The goal of the TRADE
Activity is to increase Egypt’s international trade by increasing exports from
SMEs, and in particular New and Expanding Export-Ready Enterprises
(NEEREs).  This will be achieved by addressing the constraints that impede
the competitiveness of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).

The HR Assistant will assist with the recruitment of project staff and
maintain HR records. They will also coordinate project consultants
facilitating timely payments and ensuring complete records. 

Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the employment process, track applications, screen candidates, and organize candidates’ interviews.
  • Maintain historical human resource records.
  • Track time consumed by consultants against their approved number of consulting days.
  • Assist finance department in processing payments related to consultants, including fees, travel expenses, accommodation, and others as needed.
  • Conduct other related duties as assigned.

Required
Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience. with international organizations, USAID preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in HR, Business Administration or other related field preferred.
  • Excellent active listening and organizational skills. 
  • Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point).  
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) and fluent in Arabic.
  • This position is only available to Egyptian citizens
