This Opportunity:
The US Domestic Health Practice is an emerging line of business at Palladium. The Vice President, Strategic Growth, US Domestic Health will shape and direct the US Health growth strategy and oversee the identification and pursuit of growth areas for the US Health Practice, build a pipeline of US health opportunities, and ensure that proposals are technically appropriate and methodologically sound. The Vice President, Strategic Growth, US Domestic Health will also represent Palladium with prospective clients, participate in conferences, and regularly liaise with other senior leaders across the organization. The Vice President, Strategic Growth, US Domestic Health must have depth and breadth of business development experience and proven success winning new business in the US health market.

Reporting and Supervision:
This role reports to the Palladium Partner overseeing the US Domestic Health Practice
This role will supervise a team of five with the potential for more
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Grow the US Domestic Health pipeline and portfolio of business
Shape and direct the US Domestic Health growth strategy
Direct the proposal development and writing process by:
Ensure that the capture process, from lead generation through submission, is strategic, efficient, well-organized and appropriately resourced, and that proposals meet the highest standards of quality and compliance
Provide oversight and leadership to proposal writers and the bid writing process. To serve effectively in this role, must have proven experience as a lead bid writer on winning bids
Demonstrate and model good judgement in the strategic decision-making process, including strategic partnering
Manage and mentor a talented team of highly motivated business development and technical professionals
Represent Palladium at conferences, other external forums, and events
Establish relationships and effectively articulate our unique offerings to partners and clients
Key Competencies Required:
Proven track record of winning large contracts, grants, and IDIQs
Strong understanding of racial and other health inequities and their root causes
Extensive experience leading business development, targeting major US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) operating divisions such as CDC, CMS, HRSA, SAMHSA, and ACF
Demonstrated experience leading business development targeting agencies and departments adjacent to healthcare, including EPA, DOL, and HUD
Proven ability to build strong professional relationships and networks
Insight into key industry pain points, pricing, and positioning
Strong management and team-building skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability
Collaborative and entrepreneurial orientation
Professional Expertise/Competencies Preferred:
Subject matter expertise in a specific health area (e.g., maternal health, HIV/AIDS, COVID, behavioral health) and/or a cross-cutting technical area (e.g., evaluation, community engagement, policy, impact investing, health finance, digital health) preferred
Fluency in Spanish is a plus
