This is a hands-on position which serves as APAC’s Contracts and Compliance support. The role is permanent and based in Brisbane CBD, with flexible working options.

About the Role:
Project contract preparation, legal review and amendment;
Proposal development including review of teaming agreements, RFP/tender contract analysis, provision of corporate information and any other requirements as necessary;
Assess country registration requirements, determine the most appropriate form of registration;
Maintain APAC entities in the entity register database;
Contribute to and supporting Risk Management function in the APAC region;
Provide advice and training to the APAC business on contracting, employment, litigation, legislation and ‘in country’ compliance on tax, employment etc.;
Support the implementation of real property leases;
Act as Contracts and Compliance representative on the Business Development team;
Administration of insurance declarations and claims for APAC.

About You:
A Bachelor’s degree (LLB or JD);
Currently holds or eligibility to hold an unrestricted Practising Certificate;
At least 2 years post admission experience in legal practice (law firm or in-house), contracts management;
Exposure to commercial contracting, including joint ventures, profit share agreements and grant agreements;
Knowledge of international business, corporate structures, and governance;
Experience and knowledge of multi-jurisdictional law highly desired, including APAC;
Experience of contracting with Australian Government/public sector client(s) desirable.
