Our aim is to bring together highly experienced systems practitioners across sectors to assist countries to develop solutions to fit their own contexts. Accordingly, our approach transcends global models or ideologies: every component of our work is guided by a country’s values, capacities, and political realities. Determined to transcend the status quo, ThinkWell was founded in 2011 to provide bold, creative, and practical solutions to health care financing in developing countries.
ThinkWell’s work on health systems in developing countries is premised on our belief that people in countries like Mozambique and Nepal should have the same access to quality healthcare as people in Sweden and the UK.
ThinkWell is a health systems development organization focused on helping countries to achieve Universal Health Coverage. Rooted in analytics, we focus on the intersection between health financing with other key elements of the health sector.
We believe that effective health financing systems are essential to ensuring health services are well resourced, high quality, accessible, and do not cause financial impoverishment by those who use them. We also believe that health financing can serve as a crucial lever to improve overall health systems performance.
