The DLSPH is an internationally recognized community of scientists, teachers, students, practitioners, policy makers and citizens, creating new knowledge, educating change makers, advancing practice and guiding the way to better, more equitable outcomes in population health and health systems – locally, nationally and globally.
As a society, we face urgent opportunities to prevent disease, promote healthy lifestyles, design policies and systems to improve health care, build healthy cities, respond to health crises and address the societal and root causes of illness.
We must direct health system resources to deliver the greatest quality and value, to be accountable, inclusive and sustainable and to lead better outcomes for all. We cannot delegate this job to the future, or to others, or to any one organization or government on its own.
The Dalla Lana School of Public Health is an internationally recognized community of scientists, teachers, students, practitioners, policy makers and citizens who are deeply motivated by this challenge, and who collaborate widely to move health and health systems forward. Strategically situated in the heart of the GTA – we are an integral part of U of T and of Canada’s largest health ecosystem in a globalized world.
