Project Overview and Role:
The
Restart programme offers enhanced support to Universal Credit claimants who
have been out of work for at least 12 months to find jobs in their local area.
Starting at the end of June 2021, it will benefit more than 1 million Universal
Credit claimants who are expected to look for and be available for work but
have no sustained learnings. The scheme will provide up to 12 months of
tailored support for each participant. Palladium will work with employers,
local government, and other partners to deliver tailored support for
individuals.
This role is available in several locations across the South Central part of England and the salary range is: £25,000 to £31,000 .
The Employer Solutions Consultant will
be the bridge between Palladium and employers in the area. S/he will adopt a
recruiter role and will be in charge of creating relationships with employers and
supplying them with suitable candidates from Palladium’s pool of customers. S/he
will also work with customers to prepare them for roles.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Promotion of the programme offering to employers, to deliver tailored value-added services to secure stronger relationships and long-term employer commitment;
- Maintain a good understanding of the local and regional labour market and employer needs to inform operational delivery and support targeting of sectors and employers;
- Liaise with Employment Facilitators and Advisors to co-ordinate a response to employer’s requirements following identification and qualification of employer needs;
- Support customers to become self-sufficient in job search activity, through adopting coaching and mentoring approaches and working with small groups;
- Identify opportunities for the development and growth of ’employer accounts’;
- Support candidates to become self-sufficient in job search activity, through adopting coaching and mentoring approaches and working with small groups;
- Identify employment and other work-related opportunities with employers through marketing customers directly into employers;
- Deliver high-quality candidate preparation prior to interview or job start, such as application, interview, or assessment activity.
Required
Qualifications:
- Assertiveness and excellent relationship management skills;
- A level of independence and professionalism to take the lead as needed;
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organisational skills;
- Confidence and strong facilitation and presentation skills;
- Experience of working in a customer focused and service delivery environment, preferably in the welfare to work market;
- Knowledge of the local regional and national labour market;
- Understanding of employer’s needs, experience of training needs analysis and organisational needs analysis, translating these in to fit for purpose programmes and services;
- Experience of business development and meeting targets;
- Knowledge of legislative employment regulations including safeguarding.
