I am an oral surgeon by qualification and a public health professional with primary subject expertise in epidemiology and biostatistics. This unique mix of scientific know how, therapeutic knowledge, and data handling capabilities, have helped me to identify problems and fast track solutions for various pharma clients. During my thirteen years of stint in the healthcare industry, I had the opportunity to associate with the launch of many products. I have been successful so far at effectively managing people and projects across the product life cycle in my various job roles. I have also supported sales and business development activities through developing proposals and concept notes, and presenting the scientific team capabilities to pharmaceutical clients from medical affairs, market access, marketing and regulatory divisions.
Coming to identifying the skills and abilities, I acquired sound clinical knowledge on therapy areas along with the pathological and physiological processes involved in the disease conditions during my career as an oral surgeon. Moreover, being an epidemiologist and biostatistician helped me acquire additional knowledge on the morbidity and burden associated with diseases and also laid the ground for polishing my analytical skills. Working for multinational companies helped me gain experience in providing market access solutions for new products and in formulating strategies to alleviate the burden imposed by a disease. I also have the experience in project, people and time management, along with experience in real world-evidence generation, scientific knowledge dissemination, market research and scientific writing. In addition, I have excellent communication and writing skills with advanced knowledge on the product life cycle of a drug.
