Project Overview and Role:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 


The Humanitarian and Stabilisation Operations Team (HSOT),
contracted by Palladium International Ltd, provides the Foreign, Commonwealth
and Development Office (FCDO) with humanitarian operations services and the UK
Government’s Stabilisation Unit (SU) with stabilisation operations support.
The role forms a part of the Procurement
and Logistics Team and will be reporting into Global warehouse and inventory manager. The main responsibility will entail carrying out and
completion of warehouse related tasks  to ensure the smooth running of the Disaster Response Centre
in Kemble, Gloucestershire.

 
Primary responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate data
    of inventory items with specific attention to stock location, batch numbers,
    qty count, expiry dates and all other inventory data to ensure stock count and
    stock cycling are kept within optimum requirements
  • Responsible for dispatch
    of items by use of MHE which will include reconfiguration, packing and loading in
    accordance with the instructions.
  • Help to streamline the
    warehouse task and aid with the timely dispatching of goods to meet critical
    timeframes.
  • Carry out all Health
    & Safety monitoring tasks as instructed by global warehouse & inventory
    manager. Monitor and report all finding back up the chain of command using
    appropriate methods.
  • Responsible for creation
    of required paperwork (PO’s, Customs Invoices, packing lists etc.), data input
    and storage using bespoke Microsoft systems.
  • Ensuring proper
    communication to share information and escalating any issues to relevant
    management.
  • Help maintain the WMS
    (Warehouse Management System) database, ensuring all lines are accurate and
    data stored is in a uniform and consistent format
  • If applicable and the
    need arises,  utilise other non-related skills to enable
    the quick and efficient deployment of inventory to or from the warehouse (HGV,
    MHE skills etc.)
  • Ensure all operational
    requirement relating to the “Known Consignor” scheme are actioned and to the
    required CAA standards.
  • Procurement and sales of
    medicines and warehousing and transport services for medicines in strict  accordance with the EU Good Distribution
    Practice of medicinal products for human use (GDP) Guidelines, 2013

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience of working
    within similar environment.  
  • Experience in managing
    and using mainstream/bespoke inventory systems (Preferred)
  • Applicable MHE category
    licences approved by a nationwide accredited training (Preferred)
  • Experience in
    administration and expense management including excellent Microsoft Office
    skills.
  • Proven ability to
    communicate complex procedures and situations to varied stakeholders/clients.
  • Proven ability to deal with a varied, demanding, often conflicting and
    rapidly changing workload
