EnCompass LLC is seeking a social media-savvy, tech-savvy, determined, detail-oriented, creative,

international development recruiter with a can-do attitude and a passion for building relationships, to join our growing team as a

Talent Acquisition Associate. The Talent Acquisition Associate will support our recruiting team by sourcing the best possible candidates for assigned proposals and existing projects, interview and document coordination, relevant administrative tasks, and helping maintain the EnCompass talent databases.

To be successful in this role, you should combine organizational skills with a passion for international development and recruiting, knowledge of sourcing techniques, and a desire to build and nurture trusting relationships with candidates. Ultimately, you will be responsible for helping the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager build out and streamline the recruiting process as we grow, and building a strong talent pipeline for our company’s current and future staffing needs. The Talent Acquisition Associate will help the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager build and streamline the recruiting process as we grow, and builds a strong talent pipeline for our company’s current and future staffing needs.

This position will be located at the EnCompass headquarters in Rockville, MD and reports to the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager.

Due to COVID-19, and subject to situational changes, the position is expected to be fully remote through September 30, 2021. There is some flexibility for work from home days after the afore-stated date.

Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

Support the Senior Manager to streamline the recruiting process and track the flow of candidates by:

Reviewing applicants to job postings, keeping dispositioning up to date, screening top applicants

Scheduling interviews and following up with interviewers for feedback

Providing weekly updates to the Senior Manager, for inclusion in the weekly Vacancy Status Report and the New Openings notice

Support the Talent Acquisition team with recruiting and related tasks as needed

Escalating any potential issues with the candidate experience to the Senior Manager

Partner with, and coordinate with, hiring managers and the business development team on assigned recruiting efforts, to identify staffing needs and the requirements and expectations of the job

Partner with, and coordinate with, the operations’ teams in support of recruiting efforts

Learn, use and help maintain the company’s talent databases, to include the ATS and Global Consultant Network database, ensuring compliance with company recruiting guidelines

Support the full range of tasks to source, recruit, and vet potential employees and consultants for EnCompass proposals

Source potential and passive candidates though online channels, industry networking, and career events

Develop deeper competence in recruiting by performing structured work assignments, and receiving instruction, guidance, and direction from the Senior Manager, and other senior staff in the Talent Management Team

Exercise some independent judgment in accordance with existing procedures or techniques to solve routine or standard problems

Serve as a public face of the company, and as an ambassador, during the recruiting process and at virtual and in-person functions and venues supporting recruiting and the company

Assist the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager with the collection of client required documentation for staff and consultants, and complete administrative tasks within the Talent Management Team

Other duties within Talent Management as assigned

Position Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required in international human resource management, international development, international relations or related field with at least one full year of relevant work experience, with additional years of total work experience

International development talent acquisition experience, particularly for US government projects, and/or in one or more of the following practice areas such as training, evaluation, capacity building, gender, education, and global health

Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in employing professional social media

Fluent in English with clear verbal and written communication and diplomacy skills

Organizational skills with unfailing attention to detail

Able to work within tight deadlines as needed

Demonstrated successful track record in building relationships with candidates and clients

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability work effectively with diverse teams and tasks

Experience with electronic recruitment systems or applicant tracking systems

Knowledge of recruitment compliance guidelines such as the AIDARs and OFCCP preferred

High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and databases
