Position Overview 
The Senior Manager, Partnerships will play a critical role in the next phase of PIH-US’ growth. In collaboration with the Director of Partnerships, the Senior Manager, Partnerships will execute PIH-US’ resource mobilization and growth strategy, leading proposal development processes. This person will identify and scale institutional support to meet organizational revenue targets and be responsible for stewarding a portfolio of existing donor relationships through thoughtful reporting and data-driven storytelling. The Senior Manager, Partnerships will also play a critical role in resource strategy development by contributing to special projects related to the growth and sustainability of PIH-US. 
 
The Senior Manager, Partnerships will have strong internal and external relationship management, process development, and organizational skills that will support them in helping to deliver PIH-US’s development goals. 
 
Responsibilities 
Proposal and collateral development (65%) 
  • Oversee the drafting and submission of competitive and compelling requests for funding, including the production of letters of inquiry, concept papers, proposals, pitch decks, and grant applications for existing and prospective donors; maintain detailed records of proposal submission, stewardship, and reporting activities; manage approval process for OnePIH’s Restricted Funding Forum. Manage these processes through Asana and in coordination with Coordination Site and PIH-US Grants and Finance functions. 
  • Coordinate and manage projects across teams of internal stakeholders (Partnerships, Impact & Planning, Programs, Finance, and Marketing & Communications) to ensure delivery of high-quality, accurate, and timely grant proposals/renewals, due diligence, and other donor communication materials.  
  • Compile and respond to information requests from PIH Coordination Site. 
 
 
Donor identification and relationship management (20%) 
  • Support ongoing, active prospecting on funders, including the development of prospecting materials, researching prospective funders, and develop and execute outreach strategies for external engagements with partners.  
  • Support in the development of high-quality donor reports (narrative) according to PIH and donor regulations with specific emphasis on Partnership inputs, as well as work with site teams and Learning and Impact on improving quality of reporting. 
  • Support the Partnerships Director and Executive Director with donor communication, such as drafting talking points, meeting agendas, or gathering relevant program or financial data.  
  • Maintain and diligently use donor relationship management tools (Salesforce and PIH-US prospect tracker) to ensure data quality; work with team to iterate on and drive system efficiencies. 
  • Support stewardship strategy for a portfolio of partners on behalf of PIH-US, including developing talking points/run of show for partner meetings and other briefing materials for PIH-US leadership, facilitating partner meetings, managing day-to-day engagement with partners, and managing inbound and outbound partner requests.  
 
 
Support partnership strategy and planning (15%) 
  • Maintain forecasts for PIH-US revenue streams in collaboration with Finance, Partnerships, and PIH’s U.S. Coordination Site Development leads.  
  • Support managing and aligning the revenue and prospects tracker, updating it on an ongoing basis, and ensuring continued relevance as a reference tool for the wider leadership team. 
  • Maintain and update online information management and filing systems, ensuring all relevant documentation and key communications are appropriately filed.  
  • In consultation with the Partnerships Director and other PIH-US leadership, design and contribute to special projects related to revenue strategy, including but not limited to driving U.S. public health sector and donor landscaping, developing pitch materials, conducting research and data analysis, and building the business case for new areas of program development.  
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6-8 years of professional experience, ideally in a relationship management role; prior experience in public health, business development, and/or consulting preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills: Ability to develop clear and convincing presentation materials and confidently and persuasively articulate PIH-US’ mission and value proposition to potential donors.
  • Strong process development, management, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and capacity to manage complex projects from start to finish, while maintaining calm and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working as part of a team and demonstrated capacity for independent project management, including setting interim milestones and timelines, securing input of multiple stakeholders across the organization, and prioritization.
  • Attention to detail in written deliverables and ability to independently manage processes for ensuring accuracy in written work.
  • Thoughtful and consistent high quality, timely management of external partner requests.
  • Experience entering, utilizing, and analyzing data within a customer relationship management environment is desirable.
  • Conviction for and dedication to health equity and social justice.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $70,000 and $90,000/year. The starting salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market for the position, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
 
Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan with employer match, as well as participate in organization-sponsored medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability insurance, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Full time employees will receive 15 days of vacation, 12 sick days, 3 personal days, and 3 volunteer days in addition to paid time off during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day, the week of July 4th, and 11 additional holidays annually.
