Research Assistant or Research Fellow in Health Economics (x2 posts)

Salary: £34,854 to £45,437 per annum, inclusive.

We are recruiting for two people to work with Professor Anna Vassall and her team of health economists in the Evaluation of Social and Population Health Interventions (ESPHI) research group, part of the Department of Global Health and Development at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), as Research Assistants or Research Fellows.
The post holders will work to support the Evaluation of Social and Public Health Evaluation group across a number of projects. The posts will be a mixture of four areas of work: a) co-designing and conducting literature reviews and related work under the Exemplars in Global Health initiative; b) co-designing and conducting literature reviews and related work on the economics of COVID-19; c) supporting the creation and analysis of a global dataset on costs, including descriptive and econometric analysis of cost functions; d) supporting the collection and analysis of data as part of trials on cost-effectiveness of interventions to address infectious disease in partnership with partners in low- and middle- income countries. The post holders will be responsible for working with colleagues to support economic data collection, analysis and dissemination on a range of projects.
The post holders will be based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. The appointments are full time 1.0 FTE commencing as soon as possible and until 31st July 2021. Salary will be on the Academic Pathway, in the range £34,854 – £45,437 per annum, inclusive of London Weighting. Appointment will be subject to LSHTM terms and conditions, including membership in the University’s Superannuation Scheme, an annual leave allowance of 30 days. In addition to the annual leave allowance there are discretionary ‘˜Director’s Days’. Membership of the USS Pension Scheme is available.
