Research Assistant in Evidence Synthesis for Planetary Health

We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to join the Pathfinder Initiative (funded by Wellcome and the Oak Foundation). The project aims to synthesise and communicate evidence on positive health impacts of carbon reduction actions across sectors (including energy, transport, buildings, industry, land use and human settlements).
The post holder will synthesise evidence on this topic to show which actions may have the largest impacts on health, and collect examples of how these actions have been implemented in practice using case studies. They will also be involved in organising events, communicating findings and working with project partners.
The candidate is expected to hold a postgraduate degree in epidemiology, public health or another field related to planetary health. They will have relevant experience of conducting evidence mapping and synthesis through systematic literature reviews or similar. Prior experience with a range of software packages involved in evidence synthesis and analysis would be an advantage. Further particulars are included in the job description.
The post is full time and available immediately until 31 July 2022. The salary will be on the Academic scale, Grade 5 (Research Assistant) in the range £34,854 – £40,011 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary ‘Director’s Days’. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine
