DescriptionPosition Title:ProjectFacilitator,KikundiCommunity of PracticeReports to:Project Manager,KikundiCommunity of PracticeGroup/Department:Center for One Health, University of Global Health Equity (UGHE)Location:Kigali, RwandaRole OverviewThe Facilitator will support the implementation of a digitally supported Community of Practice (CoP) for Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Program Managers throughout Africa calledKikundi. The CoP provides a collaborative platform for NTD Program Managers across Africa to share, learn, and work together on solving common NTD implementation and management challenges in the pursuit of reaching national and global NTD benchmarks.ResponsibilitiesCommunity ofPractice (CoP)Provideexpertiseand leadership in managing the Community of PracticeServe as a facilitator and content manager of the CoP digital platform, includingaccessing and summarizing newand existing NTD resources and literature and managing message boardsPopulate CoP digital platform with content (discussion questions,new resources,etc) that inspires participation,conversationand connectionUpdate and publish digital platform content, includingmaintainingweb pages and event calendarsLiase withKikundi’smembership on a regular basis toidentifyneeds, address issues, meet expectations, and create a healthy rapportDecisivelyproblem solveimplementation issues and guide team to resolutionIdentifyobstacles to and find solutions for proper CoP implementationOversee all projectlogisticsand communication throughout the project lifecycleOversee the Leadership Counciland Advisory Committeemembership and plan andfacilitateregular meetingsOrganize regular conference calls with partner organizations, including sharing agendas and action itemsProduce high quality reportsfollowingworkshops, meetings,conferencesand other engagementsCurate a monthly newsletter for the CoP in collaborationwith the teamLead project related administrative activities such as processing invoices and handling contractsPerform other tasks as required by theKikundiProjectManager and Chair of the Centerfor One HealthCenter for One HealthSupport UGHE academic processes and programs related to research, curriculum, staff,facultyand students.Providegeneral supportto the Center for One Health.Serve on UGHE committees and represent UGHE on external committees as assignedPerformadditionalduties asrequiredQualificationsMaster’s degreeFluency in English and FrenchrequiredExperience working on NTDs is an advantageProven skills to organize and executelogisticsExperience working with adult learnersExperience working insub-Saharan AfricaAbility to manage, organize, developplansand generate data to make decisionsDemonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple prioritiesExemplary interpersonal skills; ability to effectively collaborate with culturally diverse staff across departments and countriesDemonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills, good judgment, and creative problem-solvingAbility to experiment with engagement strategies to boost community participation.Strong networking skills to expand the CoP’s reach and influence.Familiarity with digital collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Trello, Asana, or similar).Proficient computer skills with fluency in Microsoft Office Suite programs including Excel, Google Suite products, and learning management systemsFamiliarity with qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis and related softwareHow to ApplyApplicants should provide: (1) curriculum vitae, (2) Degree, (3) A cover letter describing your interest in UGHE and relevant experience.
