Thank you for taking an interest in working at VSO.
VSO is the world’s leading international development charity that works through volunteers to create a fair world for everyone. At VSO we pride ourselves on doing development differently. We fight poverty not by sending aid, but by working through volunteers and partners to create long-lasting change in some of the world’s poorest regions. In 2018/19, VSO supported over one million of the poorest and most excluded people in 23 countries across Africa and Asia.
Right now, I’m looking for a Marketing Manager to plan and deliver recruitment and awareness-raising campaigns, mainly in the UK, but increasingly globally.
You’ll be joining us at an exciting time. We’re rolling out a new creative approach to our brand and considerably scaling up the breadth of our work and the number of people in poverty we’re reaching.
The ICS programme is going from strength to strength, and we’re looking for some new ideas and innovative marketing strategies to inspire young people to get involved.
You’ll provide specialist consultancy and advice to help colleagues engage with our purpose, and manage a wide range of projects and campaigns to help present VSO as a leader in volunteering-focused development practices. You’ll also be responsible for reviewing all the campaigns that go out across all our marketing channels.
Right now, VSO is bringing justice to rape survivors in Pakistan, building disaster prevention mechanisms in Mozambique, ending stigma against disabled children in Ethiopia and tackling the youth skills gap in Uganda and Bangladesh.
Our work changes lives. I hope you’ll like to be a part of it.
David Dawson, Head of Marketing
