The USAID INVEST Blended Finance for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health in Bangladesh activity aims to unlock the potential of private capital to drive inclusive growth within the Bangladeshi public health system to sustainably support maternal, child and newborn health (MCNH).
Panagora Group, a woman-owned small business specializing in global health, international development, and private sector engagement, seeks an experienced Blended Finance Specialist for an anticipated 6-months USAID-funded activity in Bangladesh, titled USAID INVEST Blended Finance for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health in Bangladesh. The Blended Finance Specialist will support activities and technical assistance related to the implementation of a blended finance for health mechanisms in MNCH at various levels in Bangladesh.
This is a short-term position and is contingent upon award.
Advanced degree in public health, international development, business, finance or related relevant field
At least 7 years of demonstrated capacity and experience designing, implementing, and managing blended finance activities, including working with private healthcare providers, associations, and private entities in Bangladesh
Experience and knowledge of USAID Global Health Blended Finance Roadmap and its application
Expert implementing blended finance solutions to finance the private sector in MNCH
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct situational analyses including the development of materials to inform the development and implementation of blended finance for health pertinent to Bangladesh
Identify transaction opportunities in support of MNCH consistent with the USAID Global Health Blended Finance Roadmap
Provide analysis of blended finance structures in Bangladesh, especially in the health sector, and in MNCH sector in relevant emerging market economies
Propose blended finance approaches and financing instruments to support private sector growth in MNCH in Bangladesh
Work with MNCH PSE expert and project team to identify, shortlist and present up to six (6) blended finance transactions
Recommend types of transaction support and/or advisory services
Develop recommendations, strategies, guidance and advice on blended finance engagement mechanisms within the scope of MNCH and project objectives
Contribute to final report and recommendations
