This Opportunity

The Finance and Administration Analyst will be a member of the $250 million USAID-funded CATALYZE project. The person in this position will be responsible for assisting in financial management and project operations, pipeline budgets analyses, the preparation of accurate monthly client invoices and financial reports, and other ad hoc financial requests that might be required. He or she will provide substantive support for managing project grants, subcontracts, and procurement activities. The successful candidate for this position will be expected to have strong interpersonal and communication skills and strong analytical abilities and will be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and clients that emphasize customer service. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide general program operations assistance to project staff.
  • Review payment request forms prior to submission to Financial Management.
  • Analyse and compare posted costs and revenues to actuals posted. 
  • Participate in monthly client invoice review processes and research issues through collaboration with CORE and buy-in project managers and coordinate with the Financial Management team to ensure appropriate adjustments.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of monthly budget project forecasts and the generation of monthly accruals.
  • Assist with client reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to efforts to ensure that project files are ready for audit in collaboration with the finance, grants, procurement and subcontracts team.
  • Provide support in managing the finance, grants, subcontracts and procurement tracker and in generating metrics for process analysis.
  • Perform project-related travel as required.
  • Perform other duties that are assigned.

Reporting Requirements

  • The Finance and Administration Analyst will report to the CATALYZE Director of Finance and Compliance.

Relationships

  • The role will be required to liaise closely with Director
    of Finance and Compliance, Finance Manager, Grants Manager, Sr. Procurement and
    Subcontracts manager and other home office and project staff.
  • The Finance and Administration Analyst is a member of the Economic Growth Practice, Americas Business Partnership, Palladium International LLC.

Key competencies and professional expertise required

  • Accounting, business, and administration skills.
  • Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office – particularly Excel.
