Director of Partnerships 

Palladium is seeking a Director of Partnerships for the upcoming
Honduras Building Climate Resilience (BCR) activity funded by USAID. The
purpose of this activity is to strengthen the capacity of Honduran systems to
withstand and respond to climate variability and change, thereby helping
address underlying factors that contribute to irregular migration. The BCR will
aim to improve water resources management, protect vulnerable sub-watersheds,
and forest ecosystems, and develop climate mitigation strategies.


The Director of Partnerships will provide the technical leadership
for private sector engagement, as well as alliance-building efforts with the
Government of Honduras, international organizations, and other donors and
non-governmental organizations.  

Duration: 5 years
Location: This position will be
based in Honduras with the need to travel to project areas throughout the year.

Responsibilities
The candidate’s responsibilities will likely include:

  • Engaging private sector stakeholders in key sectors including agriculture, natural resources, energy, water, and other relevant economic development sectors.
  • Working with the COP to design partnership strategies that recognize each stakeholder’s unique needs and potential offerings.
  • Cultivating rapport with local communities, civil society organizations, and local leaders with a focus on promoting inclusivity of vulnerable groups including disabled persons, women and youth.

Qualifications

  • At least eight (8) years of experience managing programs related to natural resources management, domestic resource mobilization, and/or private sector engagement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of natural resources management programming, especially as it pertains to forming alliances and mobilizing domestic resources and government commitments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, creative problem solving ability, as well as oral and written communication skills
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish is required – Level III Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale.
