Overview of CHAI’s Global Vaccines Program:
To ensure all children have access to effective and affordable immunization, addressing the main causes of child mortality, CHAI’s Vaccines Markets Team works with vaccine manufacturers, Gavi and other global stakeholders to improve availability, affordability, and diversity of supply for existing and future Gavi vaccines. Given the urgency of COVID-19 vaccine introductions globally, CHAI is currently working closely with COVAX. COVAX is the vaccines pillar of the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator. COVAX is co-led by Gavi, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) and WHO. Its aim is to accelerate the development and manufacture of COVID-19 vaccines, and to guarantee fair and equitable access for every country in the world.
