Panagora seeks a communications manager to oversee the internal communications needs of the company. This person will report to the senior manager for corporate communications as part of the corporate communications team. They will ensure that staff across our home office and project offices are informed and connected and will oversee quality control throughout the company around style, branding, and messaging as determined by the executive office.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with the senior manager of corporate communications to further develop and implement Panagora’s internal communications strategy
Work with the corporate communications team to roll out an expanded update of our style manual
Ensure quality control for contractual deliverables and new business proposals, following style manual standards; includes directly supporting those needs and/or outsourcing and managing consultants
Support internal communications from the executive office that go out to Panagora staff in the headquarters and project offices
Coordinate internal monthly brown bag sessions and provide support for other internal events
Manage editing requests from new business, operations, and activity management teams and ensure timely response
Create thoughtful communications and build on our strategy to improve the connection between our headquarters and project office teams
Provide intermittent training and orientation to existing and new staff on style manual
Develop job aids to help staff retain key style manual information
Work with outside vendors as necessary to get big projects done
Support external communications by flagging and sharing story ideas for the senior manager of corporate communication
Support the senior manager of corporate communications as needed
Requirements
BA/BS is required or MA/MS degree with international focus preferred

Five to seven years of experience in international development, foreign policy, or related field
Four to five years of experience in communications, including experience with internal communications and messaging, is required
Exceptional writing and communication skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word tools for formatting and manipulating images, tables, and charts is a must
Experience and/or knowledge of USAID and international development and familiarity with USAID branding and making guides preferred
Management experience preferred
Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills
Must be solutions-oriented, taking initiative to solve problems creatively
Team player who can work well in a team and independently
Ability to self-manage and re-prioritize to meet deadlines
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities in a team that is highly collaborative and communicative
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to navigate different team structures and cultures
Experience living or studying abroad a plus
Proficiency with design software such as Adobe Photoshop and/or Canva a plus
Fluency in English; proficiency in a second language is a plus but not required
