Centre Manager – London International Development Centre 814 views

The London International Development Centre (LIDC), a collaborative initiative between seven University of London institutions, is recruiting a Centre Manager. The role holder is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Centre and provides managerial support to LIDC-held projects. 

The role holder will:

Ensure the effective administration and management of the overall activities of LIDC. Manage and supervise the finances of the Centre and prepare progress reports for member colleges and sponsoring organizations.Coordinate, manage and supervise the work of the LIDC communications team as well as LIDC project teamsCoordinate and manage recruitment of LIDC staff and LIDC-held project staff.Line manage LIDC project and admin staff, other support staff and interns as needed.

The ideal candidate will have higher education to degree level and senior administrative experience. Further, the ideal candidate will need to have proven skills in developing, monitoring, and reporting on project finances. Excellent project management, organisational and interpersonal skills are a must. 

The Centre Manager will report to the Director of LIDC. The post holder will be a member of staff of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and will work as a team with other Centre-based core staff and in partnership with the administrations of LIDC’s seven Colleges. 

The post is fixed-term until 30th June 2021 in the first instance, with the possibility of an extension.

The salary will be on the professional salary scale Grade 6 in the range £40,011 to £45,437 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at the London International Development Centre (20 Bloomsbury Square, London WC1A 2NS).
