DescriptionJob Title:Campus Life CoordinatorReports to:Director, Campus OperationsLocation:Butaro, RwandaPosition OverviewTheCampus Life Coordinatorplays a vital role in fostering a vibrant, inclusive, andresidentcommunity at the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE)ButaroCampus. Reporting to the Director of Campus Operations, the Coordinatoris responsible fordesigning and implementing programs that enhance the overall student experience, promote wellbeing, and strengthen the sense of belonging on campus.This position focuses on supporting students’ holisticdevelopment academically, socially, mentally, and physicallywhile ensuring UGHEremainsa welcoming “home away from home” for all residents.Key Responsibilities1. Student Development and SupportDevelop and deliver programs to enhance students’ soft skills, leadership, and interpersonal development.Provide guidance and support to students on issues related to campus life, wellbeing, and personal growth.Coordinate initiatives to promote mental and physical wellness among students.2. Campus Wellbeing and RecreationDesign and implement recreational, leisure, and wellness programs that support student and staff engagement.Ensure the proper functioning and use of gym, sports, and recreation facilities.Organize health and wellness campaigns in collaboration with relevant departments.3. Residential LifeOversee student residential life to foster a safe, inclusive, and positive living environment.Serve as a liaison between students, administration, andhospitalityteamsto address concerns and improve residential experiences.4. Student Engagement and LeadershipProvide support and guidance to theStudent Councilin planning and executing student-led initiatives and campus events.Encourage active participation and collaboration among student organizations and interest groups.5. International Student ServicesSupport international students in their transition and integration into the UGHE community.Facilitate intercultural activities and ensure a welcoming environment for all students regardless of background.6. Collaboration and CoordinationWork collaboratively with academic and administrative departments to ensure a seamless student experience.Develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen campus programs andservices.Qualificationsand ExperienceA bachelor’sdegree in education, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field; amaster’sdegree is an added advantage.Minimum of3 years of experiencein student affairs, campus life, or related roles in higher education.Demonstrated experience in organizing events, student programs, or wellness initiatives.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.Experience providing support for mental health and wellbeing initiatives is highly desirable.How to ApplyApplicants should provide: (1) curriculum vitae, (2) Degree, (3) A cover letter describing your interest in UGHE and relevant experience.
