Project Overview:

Funded under the US President’s Emergency Plan
for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through a cooperative agreement with the US Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Palladium Development and Consultancy
Kenya Ltd (Palladium Kenya) anticipates 5-year funding to support the Kenya
Ministry of Health, county governments and healthcare service delivery partners
to implement technological innovations in health information systems.

These innovations include the scale up of
electronic medical records systems (EMRs) for clinical decision support and
improved patient care,  the enhancement
of the Kenya National Data Warehouse (NDW), a centralized data repository of
data from EMRs for analysis and reporting, the development of an
interoperability layer to support the exchange of data across systems, the
enhancement of mHealth solutions and numerous other innovations including  patient identification and informatics
solutions to support health surveillance.

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 


  • Translating user requirements into business and technical requirements documents for use in product enhancements by the development teams
  • In collaboration with the stakeholder engagement team, responsible for constituting the requirements sign-off board from among stakeholders, MOH and USG to commit to the requirements
  • Maintain linkages and communication channels with capacity building, technical support team and stakeholder engagement teams for documenting requirements, and analyzing requirements gathered in the course of training, technical support and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Development of process flow diagram, variable maps and wireframes and mock-screens as part of outputs of requirements gathering activities
  • Create linkages with quality teams to ensure correct translation of requirements to align products to elicited requirements
  • Participate in product enhancement design meetings to ensure alignment of designs to user requirements.
  • To elicit, analyze and document Business requirements from the users
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related degree and /or experience that exceeds the minimum qualifications.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in application developments as a Business Analyst or related position.
  • Familiar with various techniques to elicit, validate, and prioritize user and functional requirements.
  • Domain knowledge in HIV and TB and experience with health information exchange, real-world data technologies, and digital health platforms.
  • Direct experience working with mHealth, and eHealth applications preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
