LSHTM is developing a new online MSc in Sexual and Reproductive Health, to be co-developed with the University of Ghana as the lead partner institution in sub-Saharan Africa and co-delivered by a partnership of sub-Saharan African institutions.
By the end of the course, successful students will have the necessary knowledge and skills needed to work in policy, practice, programming and advocacy in sexual and reproductive health.
There are two programme directors, one employed by LSHTM in London and one by the University of Ghana. They will oversee the development, management and delivery of the programme.
The successful applicant will have a postgraduate qualification in sexual and reproductive health or a relevant subject, experience of postgraduate teaching and teaching management, experience in conducting research and have excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Experience of high-quality teaching delivery and teaching management, and understanding of quality assurance, in a post-graduate environment is essential. The successful applicant will be expected to continue building their own portfolio of research projects and will have the opportunity to join other projects undertaken by researchers at the School. This fixed-term and full-time post is based in London at LSHTM. It is available immediately and is funded until 31 August 2024 in the first instance, with the possibility of extension. The salary will be on the Academic Pathway salary scale Grade 7, £46,704-£53,465 per annum for an Assistant Professor or Grade 8, £56,473 – £64,817 per annum for an Associate Professor post (inclusive of London Weighting), depending on qualifications and experience. The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary ‘Director’s Days’. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
