Hi there! I’m Lorraine Pereira, a bilingual (English/French) Health Sciences graduate from the University of Ottawa with a specialization in Public Health and a deep-rooted passion for advancing global health and social justice. My academic and professional journey has led me to roles that blend administrative coordination, strategic planning, and health systems support - all of which I’m eager to bring to PIH.
I’ve provided high-level administrative support in medical and non-profit settings, managing calendars, facilitating team communication, organizing events, and optimizing workflows. I’m especially passionate about building efficient internal systems, which I’ve done through developing health promotion campaigns, organizing multi-stakeholder meetings, and supporting cross-functional program planning. I thrive in dynamic environments and am skilled at balancing multiple priorities while keeping a sharp eye on detail.
My experience spans health equity, research ethics, project management, and cross-cultural collaboration, including contributing to youth global health policy recommendations at the Pan American Health Organization. I’m also comfortable with tools like Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Canva, and digital communication platforms, and I have a strong ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.
As a Canadian citizen pursuing graduate studies in the U.S. on a student visa, I’m legally eligible to work under OPT/CPT and do not require sponsorship. I’m excited to contribute to PIH’s mission through thoughtful communication, collaborative teamwork, and a people-centered approach to resource and systems management.
