Project Overview and Role:

TThe
Restart programme offers enhanced support to Universal Credit claimants who
have been out of work for at least 12 months to find jobs in their local area.
Starting at the end of June 2021, it will benefit more than 1 million Universal
Credit claimants who are expected to look for and be available for work but
have no sustained earnings. The scheme will provide up to 12 months of tailored
support for each participant. Palladium will work with employers, local
government, and other partners to deliver tailored support for individuals
.

There are 4 Business Manager positions available based in either Southampton, Winchester & Andover & Eastleigh, or Isle of Wight. 

The Salary Range for this position is: £35,000 to £40,000

Primary Duties and
responsibilities:

  • Performance management and coaching of all staff under their management.
  • Quality monitoring of tasks and processes.
  • Forecasting targets and performance indicators monthly and ensuring contract compliance.
  • Training and coaching staff, ensuring that they are sufficiently equipped to achieve their targets. This will require creating performance improvement plans where necessary.
  • Leading on relationship building with Jobcentre Plus staff and other key local stakeholders
  • Relationship building with local employers.

Required
Qualifications:

  • Experience in a management position on employment, welfare to work programmes or a comparable sector in the UK;
  • Experience in implementing new initiatives and influencing stakeholders in organisations;
  • High level of professional credibility and a sense of pride and integrity in driving tasks through to completion;
  • Assertiveness and excellent relationship management skills;
  • A level of independence and professionalism to take the lead as needed;
  • Confidence and strong facilitation and presentation skills;
